Birkenfeld fun & recreation outdoor pool
The outdoor pool includes six 50 m competition lanes with starting blocks as well as several diving boards and platforms of up to 5 m in height. There is a shallow pool for beginners and a wading pool protected from the sun for the little ones. A beach volleyball field, a basketball court, a table tennis court, a boules court and outdoor chess offer plenty of areas for sporting activities. After these “exertions“, you can lie down on the clean and spacious lawn to sunbathe or maybe even sleep your way to a deep tan. Those who prefer to stay out of the sun can get comfortable under one of the shady trees. An attractive beer garden with a kiosk provides the perfect spot to sit back and relax for a while.
Schwollen outdoor pool
The Schwollen outdoor pool is a stainless-steel gem. Measuring 25 m x 12 m in size with a maximum depth of 1.35 m, the pool is equipped with state-of-the-art floor-inlet nozzles technology. The separate, safe wading pool for toddlers will also please parents, who can watch their little ones play in the water. A clean and well-trimmed lawn invites visitors to stay and relax for a while when the weather is nice. The small kiosk is particularly popular with kids. Guests from the neighbouring municipalities also regularly frequent the Schwollen outdoor pool. Combined with the local kindergarten, it contributes to the municipality’s high quality of living.
